LE DIALOGUE INTERRELIGIEUX

Francois Mabille, IFCU Secretary General and researcher at the GSRL- Groupe Sociétés, Religions, Laïcités of the CSNRS( French National Center for Scientific Research)

François Mabille discusses  here interreligious dialogue by recalling some of the major initiatives that have promoted it and the common work of religions in favor of a global common good. Prof. Mabille mainly insists on the creation of the World Parliament of Religions (Chicago, 1893), the World Conference of Religions for Peace (Kyoto, 1970), the Interreligious Meeting for Peace (Assisi, 1986), three major events that have drawn up the international map of an inter-religious geopolitics which, according to him, "deserves to be part of an intellectual history of internationalism".
